Most of the time, we just talk about the outcome and barely scratch the surface on process. But with this TUI project, the process was just as memorable to me as the final cut, so I wanted to take a moment and honour that, as well as everyone involved 🫶.

Huge thanks to the TUI team who flew with us to Rhodes for this shoot @alexandrapopesq @skitco, the incredible (and very dear to me) cast family @noisizoe and @pascu.andrada and my partner in crime @bogdan.films. Working with all of them was lovely, easy, and most of all, fun.

It’s such a joy when you find people you genuinely vibe with, on and off set. 🍉🍉🍉

On technicalities, this entire campaign rests on just mine and Bogdan’s shoulders. We literally pulled everything together without a classic-sized crew to help move things along (in pre, prod and post). It just goes to show that when you really pour love and care into a project, you don’t always need a ton of manpower.

We also got to play with adding layers with AI, like the TUI cloud, which to me, is the best application of AI yet - mixing it with real footage and enhancing/ adding layers that would have once taken so much longer with classic VFX work. 🔥 There’s a few other AI nuggets throughout the campaign.

So life has been ‘life-ing’ (as she would) and I never got to post a film that’s been very close to my heart, which also got me to meet the loveliest, cutest family there is @noisizoe 🥰.

Here are a few fragments of what we shot together for Therme Group and BBC StoryWorks, for the In Pursuit of Wellness series, along with a few frames that I absolutely loved but which sadly didn’t make the final cut. I think that actually makes me love ‘em even more, ‘cause they now get to be their own micro moments, with their own little identities and emotions.
